I went into my Disney hotel lobby store for a cork screw and came out with a pair of crocs.

I love Disney. I love that I live so close that I can just roll out of bed on a Saturday morning, decide to go and be there within 1.5 hours. Well, I’d shower first, and have some coffee, check my emails, update Twitter and FaceBook. Probably more like mid-afternoon, but anywhos, you get my drift. I live close.

I used to have a Seasonal pass which would block out certain dates like spring break, winter break and pretty much the entire summer. I didn’t mind, until I realized what a great opportunity I was passing up. One of my favorite things to do is people watch. While I thought Disney was doing me a favor by blocking me out during high traffic seasons, I realized they were really hindering some great people watching experiences.

I was missing out on some good shit. Some good pictures that I can laugh at for years to come. Some good experiences, like this past trip. I bought some wine in Paris. However, Disney will not sell cork screws on site because technically I’m not supposed to open it on property (even though I can drink my way around the world in Epcot.) So I went to the hotel gift shop and found the nearest clerk and asked if they sold cork screws. She smiles at me with her Disney, have a magical day smiles and says sure follow me. I follow her and she leads me over to the Mickey crocs. Um, no, you will not catch me dead in those and I’m not quite sure how I’m gonna open my bottle of wine with those ugly shoes. So then an enthralling game of charades ensues. I’m standing there like a fool twisting my hands like I’m opening a bottle of wine and drinking it. A few rounds goes by and she gets it. And it was free. Bonus.

Damn them. They made me do it. I bought an Annual Pass. Full on, no block out dates, discounts on parking, discounts on hotel and awesome people fodder for an entire year. Oh yeah and they added on three extra months, FREE, just because I live here! Sweet!

Typically I would go to Disney every year with my mom in November for Super Soap weekend. Yep, all of your fave ABC stars all in one place (Hollywood Studios, formerly MGM) for an entire weekend of star gazing….

and crazy ass people. Did I mention it was an entire weekend? And the fact that I don’t watch soap operas (I mean sure, I’ve seen General Hospital, All My Children and One Life to Live at some point in my life, my moms a fan, but I’ve never been one to watch religiously)? And my mom is one of those crazy ass people?

When my sis and I first moved down here, we decided to splurge one weekend and take a day trip to Disney. We walked into MGM and stopped. Was that the General Hospital theme song blaring out the speakers? Yes it was. All over the park there were stations set up where you could wait in line and get an autograph and have your picture taken with the likes of Sonny from GH, or JR from AMC. Sure there were lines, but heck, they weren’t that bad. They were strewn with crazy ladies who had their fake fingernails painted with the names/faces of their favorite stars. And hey, there were more than 10 of them, so when they ran out of fingers, they had a necklace made of fingernails and added some more names and pictures to those.

But I digress. This is not all about Super Soap Weekend (I’ll save that craziness for another post) it’s about the crazy people I see at Disney and the pictures I like to take of them. So I thought I would share a few of my better pictures.

With the Internet making this world such a small place, I’ll apologize in advance if you are in any of my pictures, or know anyone I have taken pictures of. There are also some choice hair-do’s (don’ts really) and some fly kicks and outfits. Again I’ll apologize in advance if you own any of these items.

Wait, I won’t apologize. You should totally apologize to me. For having to look at them. And laugh so hard my water comes out my nose (yes, that happens sometimes.) And you should totally take said items back to the store so I don’t ever have to look at them again.

This dude has horns shaved into his head. Spiked up into blonde points. Look close, they’re there. Does he really look like your typical soap fan? I think not.

Then we have the Bobsey twins here. They had matching outfits on both days. They even walked in sync.

Here we have the female mullet, that needs about two feet cut off the back and some shampoo!

Here’s a better shot of it’s awesomeness

Now these shoes. Who the fuck walks around Disney in these shoes? I’m lucky I can get through the entire park in my flip flops or sneakers! And I wear heels all the time!

These next shoes should be taken off the market. Forever. And ditch the black socks honey!

This next one I have no words for. You decide

I have tons more where that came from. But I’ll leave you with photos of what I like to do best at Disney. DSC00400DSC00518DSC01744DSC00382

Drink. And take pictures of myself!

Oh yeah, and take pictures with cute soap stars that totally made it onto the website for Soap Net. They snapped a picture of him taking a picture of  him and I. I’m sure that makes me famous. It would have been better but I totally had the camera zoomed in cause I probably saw another fashion disaster that I needed to get a close up of.  But we look nice and cozy anyways.

It’s totally scary. And to think they probably left their house thinking they looked good *shudder at the thought*
